After two thrilling victories this week, the Flyers aim for a third straight against the St. Louis Blues.
The two teams met at the end of October with Philadelphia pulling out the win on a late goal by Bobby Brink. Sam Ersson stoned Brayden Schenn on the deflection in the dying seconds to hold on.
Both teams are looking for a third victory in a row. The Flyers have done so in both dominating and comeback fashion over their last two games. St. Louis had two dominating victories of their own. One team will see their streak come to an end.
Philadelphia Flyers
The things that have made the Flyers the most successful recently come from areas that were looked at as a concern at the beginning of the year. With Sam Ersson out, Ivan Fedotov and Aleksei Kolosov have had to handle goaltending duties. They aren’t lighting the world on fire, but they are doing what they need to do to help the team win.
The center depth on the Flyers can be questionable at times. Sean Couturier is quietly on a four game point streak in which he’s collected five. Morgan Frost has shown signs of coming around offensively with three points in his last three games. While the points aren’t coming, Noah Cates is finding other ways to impact the game.
The Flyers have played a lot of hockey this week and are in the second half of a back to back. Energy will be a huge factor as the game wears on so finding ways to make positive plays even when the legs get heavy will be important.
Flyers Projected Roster
Joel Farabee - Sean Couturier - Travis Konecny
Owen Tippett - Morgan Frost - Matvei Michkov
Tyson Foerster - Noah Cates - Bobby Brink
Scott Laughton - Ryan Poehling - Garnet Hathaway
Cam York - Travis Sanheim
Emil Andrae - Rasmus Ristolainen
Nick Seeler - Helge Grans
Aleksei Kolosov
St. Louis Blues
The new coach bump has certainly helped the Blues since they hired Jim Montgomery. The team is playing with new energy and has been getting rewarded. They have won two straight, scoring five goals in a game for the first time since the second game of the season. The change in play style has helped them find what makes them successful as a team.
Jordan Kyrou, who leads the team in goals (7) and points (19), has found himself on the scoresheet more often than not. In 24 games, Kyrou has failed to register a point only nine times. He has points in 10 of his last 13 games. Dylan Holloway has enjoyed a change of scenary with six goals and 12 points in 24 games. He's coming off a two-goal outing and has four points in two games.
With the win over the Devils, Jordan Binnington became the Blues franchise leader in wins. He tends to be the backbone for this team. When he goes, the team goes. Similarly to the beginning of the season, Binnington has alternated wins and loses in his last six games. The trend once again favors a loss against the Flyers. But never count Binnington out.
Blues Projected Roster

Dylan Holloway - Oskar Sundqvist - Zack Bolduc
Alexey Toropchenko - Radek Faksa - Mathieu Joseph
Ryan Suter - Colton Parayko
Philip Broberg - Justin Faulk
